The opposition SDSM accused that the so-called “ZNAM 2.0 platform” is not an initiative for public debate, but a project whose goal, as the party states, is to weaken the Social Democratic Union from within.

In a press release on Sunday, SDSM claims that their previous accusations have been confirmed, referring to, as the party says, a public statement by Igor Ivanovski – Shema that the platform was not formed for “talks about the future” of the country, but for “destroying SDSM from within.”

“What SDSM has been saying for months has been confirmed, all the masks have fallen, the true faces of the ZNAM 2.0 platform have shown themselves,” said the main opposition party.

SDSM assesses that, following the failure of the political project ZNAM, Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski, as they claim, is trying to redirect the public debate from, in their opinion, the Government’s crimes to the internal situation in the opposition party through a “repackaged project”.

The press release also states that the “ZNAM 2.0 platform”, according to SDSM, advocates for the abolition of the direct election of the party leader by the membership.

“They are bothered by democracy in SDSM, so they are demanding the abolition of the highest democratic act and right of the members,” said SDSM.

The opposition party also accuses that at a recent forum on the platform, people from other political parties took part and debated SDSM’s internal organization.

At the end of the press release, SDSM assures that “attempts to collapse SDSM from within will not succeed” and that the party will oppose, as it calls them, “the satellites of (Prime Minister Hristijan) Mickoski.”
