The Skopje Basic Criminal Court informs that a judge in a preliminary procedure at the Basic Criminal Court, acting on a proposal from the defense of the suspect M.S. (MuamedSejdini), former president of the Football Federation of Macedonia (FFM), issued a decision accepting the offered guarantee in the amount of over EUR 1,150,000, which consists of establishing a mortgage on real estate, and lifted the detention measure.
In order to ensure the presence of the suspect in the further course of the procedure, the Court determined a precautionary measure – confiscation of the travel document.
After the submitted proposal for the abolition of the detention measure with the determination of a guarantee and receiving a positive opinion from the Public Prosecutor, the judge of the preliminary procedure issued a decision in which he accepted the proposal and accepted the offered guarantee, and given that no appeal was filed against the decision, it became final, after which the suspect was released to defend himself.
In mid-June, in the action carried out at several locations, the former president of the Football Federation of Macedonia (FFM), IlchoGjorgioski, was detained, but the investigation and charges of the Financial Police Directorate also include his successor in office, MuamedSejdini, who is also involved in the case of paying fictitious invoices to a number of companies.
According to the documentation submitted to the competent institutions, the total damage caused to the Football Federation of Macedonia in both terms amounts to several million euros.
