The amendments to the Law on Government, which envisage the abolition of the so-called Przhino caretaker government, are in the final phase, Macedonian Minister of Public Administration Goran Minchev told Sitel TV in an interview.
The minister stressed that the process was conducted transparently and inclusively, with the active involvement of opposition political parties.
Minchev emphasized that the draft law will be submitted by the Ministry of Public Administration to the Government, which will be followed by a parliamentary debate.
“This law is being passed with 61 MPs and without Badinter’s majority. We believe that the 100 days of technical government are seriously hindering the intensity of reforms. The Przhino caretaker government was introduced in 2016 to ensure fair and democratic elections, and after several election cycles with positive assessments, we believe that it has fulfilled its mandate and should remain in the past,” Minister Minchev noted.
