In the coming period, the region of Kriva Palanka and this part of Macedonia will see hundreds of millions of euros in investments, in projects aimed to connect Macedonia and Corridor VIII with its neighbors and Kriva Palanka serves as the entry point of Corridor VIII, Macedonian Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski said Sunday.
The reconstructed bypass in Kriva Palanka was commissioned by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Aleksandar Nikoloski, Prime Minister Mickoski and the Public Enterprise for State Roads director Koce Trajanovski.
As Nikoloski pointed out, the bypass is 4.5 kilometers long, 7.5 meters wide and its reconstruction costs 1.2 million euros.
“This is not just a Kriva Palanka bypass, this is a connection with Bulgaria and is a vital part of Corridor VIII in which we are investing a lot in order to develop it. Last January, the expressway from Kriva Palanka to Stracin was launched and this is a natural extension of that expressway, and currently intensive work is being done to modernize, expand and modernize the Deve Bair border crossing,” said the Deputy PM.
