The State Commission for Public Procurement Appeals has ex officio issued a decision to annul the public procurement of electric buses and electric chargers, informed the Macedonian Ministry of Transport, promising to announce a new tender soon. This will further prolong the start of resolving the public bus transport issue in Skopje.
At the very end of April, the Ministry of Transport announced that a preliminary selection had been made for the procurement of 150 electric buses and 75 charging stations. The joint offer of the Hungarian company ElektrobusIkarus and the Austrian EVN was chosen as the most favorable bidder. The selected companies offered a price of EUR 314,000 per bus, which was assessed as a competitive price on the European market.
