SDS, Zaev and Spasovski usedKaticaJaneva to control which cases the Special Prosecutor’s Office (SPO) would process, which prosecutor would lead them and which individuals would be included. Prosecutors such as LencheRistoska, Gavril Bubevski, FatimeFetai and LileStefanovska handled these cases, while Janeva played the role of coordinator, as she had no expertise in the matter, said VMRO-DPMNE in a press release Wednesday.

“The SPO worked under ZoranZaev and SDSM’s direct instructions. An advisor to former Minister of Interior Spasovski, during the caretaker government about 10 years ago, told prosecutor Kadriu in the SPO offices that the scope of persons in a certain case should be expanded. After her refusal, he went to complain elsewhere, and Kadriuwas later removed from her job.

Zaev and Spasovski managed the work in the SPO through KaticaJaneva. Spasovski, through his advisor, gave instructions for the selection of cases and which prosecutor would handle which case, which persons should be covered and who should be held accountable.

KaticaJaneva was only a coordinator, while the cases were also handled by LencheRistoska, Gavril Bubevski, FatimeFetai and LileStefanovska.

The criminal charges were submitted on a sheet and illegally transferred from the Public Prosecutor’s Office to the Special Prosecutor’s Office at the political will of the SDS. Former prosecutor LejlaKadriu, as she testifies, was removed from the Special Prosecutor’s Office because she did not want to participate in Janeva’s crime, which is why she was fired from her job.The wiretapped conversations dubbed “bombs” could not initially be evidence, but with just one decision of an Appellate Court judge they were accepted in court proceedings.

There were coordinated connections between the Special Prosecutor’s Office (SPO), the prosecution and the judiciary to accept cases directed by the SDS, ZoranZaev and Oliver Spasovski. Judges who did not cooperate were exposed to pressure and threats.

Anyone who was not a “team player” with Janeva and the Special Prosecutor’s Office was under pressure, and one former judge and a court president was convicted.

“The Special Public Prosecutor’s Office led byKaticaJaneva and Zaev are the greatest embarrassment for the judicial and prosecutorial system in the country, which has further undermined the distrust in institutions.

The Public Prosecutor’s Office (PPO) should investigate the entire case and the responsibility of those involved,” reads the ruling party’s press release.
