The Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia (SSM) urges the Government not to make excuses and not to delay the reduction of officials’ wages by 78 percent.
“We urge the Government not to make excuses for the process by reducing officials’ wages, but to apply the already established principle as when it brings laws to the detriment of workers and by abusing the so-called EU flag fast-track procedure, without broad consultation, without dialogue and without caring about the decisions of the Constitutional Court as they did for the introduction of the 72-hour working week or now when they want to remove the minimum wage from the Law for Administrative Officers and to submit to the Parliament a proposal for the Law which will reduce officials’ wages by 78%,” reads the SSM’s press release.
